Lot 11 173 Port Road, Aldinga Beach, SA 5173
Eco Arts Village vacant block - plans included
The Aldinga Arts EcoVillage (AAEV) is an intentional community at Aldinga, 40km south of Adelaide, South Australia. It showcases the exploration of new lifestyles for a more humane, sustainable future. The Village concept emerged from the interwoven philosophies of several distinct strands: the arts, Permaculture & environmental sustainability, and the desire to create more cohesive community. Out of this background has come our collective vision for an EcoVillage – a true community of all age groups – characterised by “caring for the earth; caring for people; living creatively – together.” Our Village is about people and for people. The participation and inputs of residents working together are what makes it work – through arts and cultural activities, community building, developing and maintaining our common land (including a small farm), looking after Village service infrastructure, being involved in community governance, and a host of other tasks aimed at supporting each other and nurturing our environment. The block is situated at the front of the Eco Arts village and has commercial potential. It has a 13,000 litre under ground water tank and a grease trap underground. This block is well situated in the village on the main road into the village and next to all the letter boxes making it a great location for a small business site in the village, as well as catering for passing trade on the main road of Aldinga Beach.
